In this article we are going to deal with the definition of organization and the ways in which an individual working in any organization puts their job or career at stake. This article is being written for the improvement of the individuals working in an organization who are yet oblivious of their roles in their related organization.

Now the question which stands in one’s mind is that what exactly is an organization? An organization is a social unit of people that is structured and managed to meet a need or to pursue collective goals, all organizations have a management structure that determines relationships between the different activities, and subdivides and assigns roles, responsibilities and authority to carry out different tasks. Organizations serve as open systems which affect and are affected by their environment. Organizations hire individuals whom they consider capable of accomplishing the tasks that a certain job demands.

As we all are aware that every job has a job specification, if one does not meet that job specification that individual is more likely not to get that job. Likewise every organization has its own sets of rules; the specific ones are generally mentioned in the contract while the general ones are conveyed via orientations or during the training. To avoid putting one’s job at stake an individual should aim on carrying out actions which are in compliance with the organization’s policies. We all are aware of the fact that employees who make frequent mistakes do not only frustrate their workers but also slow down the pace of the working environment of an organization. Such employees are warned several times but unfortunately these warnings do not tend to have any impact on them therefore they keep repeating the same mistakes not knowing that this kind of attitude can aggravate the stake of their job.

Now the question which stands in one’s mind is that what stupid things an employee does to put his job at stake. I am going to start stating the general ones which can be easily avoided.

Sick leaves:
an employee who takes a lot of sick leaves is not considered dedicated towards his/her organization. The kind of image such an employee reflects is of non-dedication and irresponsibility despite the fact he or she performs all their tasks.
