Anxiety can be defined as a normal human emotion experienced by all individuals. When faced with a tough task, many people feel nervous or in other terms anxious. Anxiety can sometimes be helpful as it drives an individual to accomplish certain tasks with high quality on given deadlines, but when the anxiety starts causing distress and interferes with the person’s normal functioning, it becomes worrisome.

Fear and depression on the other hand can cause much more dysfunction in people’s life. They can get the best of us and render us ineffective in standard operations. Depression, in worse case scenarios, can even lead to suicide and according to World Health Organization (WHO), more than 800,000 people die due to suicide annually and the most common incidences are among young adults from ages 15 to 29 years.

Many famous celebrities have openly admitted to falling victims to their fears and depression. Princes Diana suffered from postpartum depression along with an eating disorder and as her marriage fell apart, her depressed state even worsened. A number of other showbiz individuals have also been reported to have committed suicide or overdosed on certain drugs due to depression for example Heath Ledger, who accidently overdosed on painkillers, anxiety medications and sleeping pills after suffering from insomnia for quite a long time.
