The scholars found the following aspects that appear to be more common in people who have tried suicide:

Early age of start of indications

The bipolar disorder is usually develop in mid-twenties but it can also be triggered as early as in childhood and people do have early symptoms of bipolarity but they remain unchecked. Researches has indicated that the earlier a person starts to display signs of bipolar disorder, the poorer the progression of their illness could be over a period of time.it is also because diagnosis of this problem takes long time and because of delaying in diagnosis of the disease the symptoms remain untreated and problem worsen. Interruption in diagnosis naturally causes a person to spend more time in depression and having worse and lengthier episodes and all these ultimately leads to suicidal behavior.

Sufferers of physical, emotional or sexual abuse

It was difficult to differentiate between suicide attempt and abuse whether physical, emotional or sexual. It was attempted to identify whether some abuse leads to suicide attempt or multiple abuse could be the reason of such reaction. Every type of abuse has its own impact so therefore it it was hard to make difference whether victims of physical abuse, emotional or sexual abuse are more prone to suicidal attempts. Any kind of abuse when occur at early stage of life or in childhood, it leads to more psychological problems and symptoms of depression and anxiety accumulated over the time and symptoms worsen and it makes difficult to treat the problem even the medication responded slowly and poorly.  Post-traumatic stress disorder could also be triggered in some people who have been the victim of abuse and because of that symptoms of depression or bipolar worsen and its course also become worsen over a period of time.
