While talking about the effects of the alcohol on physical and mental health many researchers quote only the liver damage, lung cancer and heart disease. But there are also numerous reported cases of breast cancer among females due to alcohol. On a large scale it has been notified that drinking has serious effects on female breasts and leads to cancer.
Asma Qureshi is working with Willing Ways as a Clinical Psychologist. She has done Masters in Applied Psychology from the University of Punjab in 2006.After this, she did six months internship at Psychiatry ward of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Lahore. She did her Post Magisterial Diploma in Clinical Psychology (PMDCP) from the Institute of Clinical psychology, University of Karachi in 2009.

Over all in the world, among every five alcohol related deaths 21.6% are due to cancers. On the top of the list is breast cancer among females and the second is lung cancer both in males and females.
Professor Paul Wallace, Drinkaware’s Chief Medical Advisor, emphasizes on the fact that now the common masses should get to know about the risk factor of developing the breast cancer among females due to alcohol. He further reported that the awareness must be increased about the health risk related to fertility due to drinking and related to breast cancer due to drinking.
There is a lot of evidence to suggest that alcohol increases the risk of developing breast cancer. Drinking alcohol does not mean you will get breast cancer, it means your risk of developing it will be increased.
